The University of Fort Hare (UFH) publicizes online the application guidelines for admission into undergraduate and postgraduate programs for the 2023 /2024 academic year/session.
UFH application process is seemingly the same and does not easily/frequently change with time.
Candidates for UFH admissions are expected to complete applications for any course before the closing date.
Applicants are also expected to meet the requirements before applying for admission.

Application Eligibility
- first-time UFH applicants
- UFH students changing to a new qualification and/or specialization
- applicants who previously applied for admission and were not offered a space or who were offered a space accepted the offer and did not register
- students completing a higher certificate or any other programme and who wish to continue with further undergraduate studies
How to Apply for UFH Application 2023
The application forms are available online on the portal. However, UFH prospective students can make applications physically to the respective office aside from the online applications. Start with these steps to begin UFH Application.
- After payment of the non-refundable application fees, an SMS will be sent to you informing you of the status of your application thereafter a letter of confirmation.
- Visit the online application portal.

A non-refundable application fee of R 80.00 is payable by all applicants (for online applications). Please use the following bank details to deposit and upload the deposit slip with the rest of your required documents.

Submitting results and documents
Current learners at school must make sure that all examination results from Grade 11 until September of grade 12 are submitted. Failure to submit these results may result in delays.
Transferring students should submit all transcripts and academic records as early as possible.
Documents must be submitted as certified electronic copies to admissions-ug@uct.ac.za (undergraduate applicants) or admissions-pg@uct.ac.za (postgraduate applicants). Please do not send your submissions to both email addresses as this will only delay the processing of your application.
Tracking your admission
Current matriculants who qualify based on their Grade 12 mid-term performance, are provisionally admitted pending the submission of their final matric results and subject to availability of space.
Successful applicants will receive sms and an admission letter, together with a registration guide, which reflects the registration dates and orientation programme.
