Undergraduate students may study Fine Art as a major in a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree, or do the Bachelor of Visual Arts (BAVA) structured degree, which is recommended for those who may wish to enter a visual arts-based career. The BAVA degree includes Fine Arts, Art Theory and Digital Arts modules. This degree prepares students for postgraduate study and professional practice in a variety of arts-based careers. Students from other UKZN Schools and Colleges may do Fine Arts modules as electives if their programme of study allows.
