The University of the Free State (UFS) online Application for admission to undergraduate study programmes for both South African and international citizens close on specific dates in the year preceding the year of study. The closing date for UFS Applications for 2023 for all selection programmes has not been disclosed yet.
The General Requirements for University of the Free State Applications is that a Candidate must meet a higher certificate requires a minimum APS of 15, a diploma a minimum APS of 18 and a bachelor degree a minimum APS of 21 or more (some exceptions apply).

UFS ADMISSION STATUS
After successfully submitting the application form, the next step is to check your Admission Status. The University of the Free State Admission Status shows You your progress with gaining admission. This information can be retrieved from the institution’s online portal, in some cases, You may need to contact the Admissions office to get the University of the Free State Application Status.
Your Admission Status is usually available on the University of the Free State Student portal.
The Application Status shows that your application has been successfully submitted and it will show other related information while the Admission Status shows that You have been accepted as a candidate and now You are on the path to getting your name on the admission list or not. Some Websites provide your direct admission status on the portal online but that is not the case. Then You can turn to the admission list/letters to know your status.
APPLICATION DEADLINE
The Schedule for Admissions has already been decided by UFS. You just have to take note of the important dates to prevent being penalized for applying after the Closing date. Sometimes they may have mercy on the Candidates who applied before the Application Deadline.
